If you are using it in an alias/script it won’t work.
Create new empty .cfg (e.g. defaultcross.cfg) and add one line:
cl_crosshair_file ""
Then in your alias/script call to execute this new one line config:
exec defaultcross.cfg
There may well be a value for the default crosshair, but that’s what I’ve always used.

I tried with the one line cfg but it gives me the same result.

Ah, i’m using pvh hud + more high fps at 720 x 480.
(Hope this will help you to help me).
FIxed, it was something wrong in my config.cfg
