I have a problem with tf2 and i hope some guys can help me here with soling it.
When i am playing about 20 min tf2 , then the problems start.
After 20 mins of playing tf2 starts to shock, when i move my mouse across my window it’s not a fluent line. Thats pretty anoying to aim. And when i am walking you can see it too.
I tried some settings and i reinstalled my computer but i still have the same problem.
Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz
3.00GHz, 2.00GB
nvidia gforce 8400 GS
can anybody help me pls
thx

Have you overclocked? Could be temperatures getting too high.
What’s your power supply’s wattage? You might not have enough voltage on the 12V rail, look at the sticker on the PSU to see.
Although, if it was your PSU, performance would be bad throughout any stressing applications..
Or your mouse / USB port is faulty, with the aiming.
Kinda vague, i’m just throwing ideas out there really.

i didn’t overclock

use speedfan log and find out cpu/gpu temps
GPU 57C with a peak of 70C
Temp 48C
Temp2 70C
Temp3 -2C
HD0 40C
Core 57C
always around 100fps but when i start to “lagg” it drops till 40-20 and back to 100 a sec after it.

these are the temperatures after about 20 mins playin.
So when i start to get framedrops.
Also when i keep playing my fps decreases to 40-50 instead of 100.
Odd, that’s a little on the warm side but not hot enough to overheat. Hmm…
does youre cooler stand against a wall or something ? Is it blocked ?
you could try to get your cooler work harder :)
i removed all the dust from my cooler.
When 1 play 1 hour no framedrops.
only my fps decreasses to 50-60 instead of 130.
How can i solve that?
MAke sure all your fans are on maximum, there should be switches on each of them ,if not your gpu/mobo software could change it.
70C – cpu?
simple cpu throttling… turn it off (in bios) or limit to 80 or 90 degrees…
70c @ cpu OR gpu should’nt be downclocking by default (it should not affect the framerate) [atleast i have not seen a cpu downclock @ 70c becouse of the heat]
might be false readings in your software tho. check if coretemp and gpu-z give you the same readings

I’ve seen default BIOS have a threshold of 60c, it’s not uncommon
yeah, might be that too.
never seen that low defaults myself tho, i’ve played around with some pentium 2’s and 3’s and even they had higher default tresholds than 60-70
