I’ve been recording footage for small movie while I noticed, that ‘stratmovie’ command also records “warning OS paged pool memory low” message in the top right corner… So I’ve trashed 7 hours of my weekend.

I am going to rerecord all the stuff and I need help – how can I hide this warning ingame?

AnimaL

you cant hide it, but u can fix it by

1. buy more ram
2. buy gpu with more onboard ram
3. increase windows virtual memory
4. lower texture size (mat_picmap)

yes, I know.

I dont have this message on fps config while playing. But i use quantum movie cfg for recording and I cant avoid it… And in the matter, that i cant upgrade my low-end laptop (only 2 RAM slots), I cant avoid this error messagE :( fuck it, i’ll finish this movie with it (

Just blur the message out? Put something over it?

Testing the solution, still no message.. But it takes a time to pop up =)

Animal
its page file problem, not RAM, and it appears after certain time of playingwatching demos

honeymustard
its a problem, cause its the place of kill-messages too :(

I want to solve this problem for further improvements, but I have no motivation to spend hours for rerecording :(

AnimaL

pagefile = virtual memory which is directly linked to RAM

doh, google it

HOUSEMASTER

its a problem, cause its the place of kill-messages too :(

Use a custom hud to move the kill messages somewhere else and then blur it out?

Thanks for all the replies.

Seems to be the best of the worst solutions.
I hope warning message will not appear again.. )

i used to have that problem, not sure how i fixed it. i know i used the fpsbanana tut but try out the -heapsize command (and google the value to input accordingly to your amount of ram)
