Hmm, wat?
“Because of the appalling behaviour exhibited by the previous owner of this website, I have elected to remove him from his post and have him bludgeoned half to death. Let’s just say it was something to do with ducks – the details aren’t important to you. Either way, the rest of you are doing a marvellous job at not failing quite as dismally, so your arms may stay intact. For now.
More information will be coming shortly as to the fate of this web space. No doubt someone will have something to say, so if you would like to snivel, grovel, suggest ideas, or otherwise waste my time, feel free to e-mail someone else who might actually care at [email protected]
Still, I have no doubt that you’ll not learn from your once-limbed leader’s mistake and find new ways of failing me.
The Administrator”
I’m sure “Max Smith-Creasey” (domain regtristrant) will very much enjoy a cease and desist letter from the Valve lawyers soon, along with the demand to hand over their intellectual property.
Unless of course he has already handed it over and that is their terrible idea of a joke.

It does look like your typical domain squatter though, since it’s currently for sale on a domains website at around $3600.
What that seller appears to be hoping for here, is to put strange content up on his site and get people linking to it. The buyer of a domain name will look at traffic and/or revenue stats to make an informed decision on their purchase, therefore added visitor stats would make that domain name more valuable to a buyer. Assuming they are completely ignorant of the fact that the domain name is in breach of a registered trademark.
