For anyone who thinks they should be getting a higher FPS and is serious about their benchmarking then check out http://www.overclock.net/benchmarking-software-discussion/555682-windows-7-setup-tweaking-guide-benchmarking.html#post6905280
I know the thread says windows 7, but read on and you will see most of that stuff is just as useful for vista and almost as useful for XP. Basically a lot of the bloat in windows 7 & vista can be simply cut out (e.g. aero can be disabled, unnecessary services disabled/task manager :D). You’d be surprised what tweaking can do for your scores…but take its advice with caution. Some tweaks can damage your PC if you do them wrong!
Alternatively start looking at a new PC system or OCing :D

never seen anything like that to actualy work… unless u got system that bottlenecked by low ram
p.s. ur link is made to get highest possible synthetic test score out of ur machine… not to use it by any means…

Your right, you have to be serious about it and some people are. But it has its uses, I’ve played TF2 on 512mb RAM and thats a painful experience. In that case getting rid of anything unnecessary is going help.
No, I that case you stop being a cheapskate and spend the €25 on getting 4 times that amount of ram…
