Hey all,
Here’s the last version of movie GUI.
Features:
– Easy installation, creates separate directory for moviemaking so as to not mess with your game setup.
– Lots of binds for moviemaking, check the menu screenshot to see them all.
– Crosshair override, bound to “o”. Set your preferred crosshair in xhair.cfg
– Minimalistic HUD, only kills are shown.
– Custom sounds, disables most player screams & taunts, domination / revenge sounds, round end sounds and announcer voiceovers.
– High quality movie config by Quantum
Installation instructions:
Copy the contents of the ‘team fortress 2’ folder into the ‘team fortress 2’ folder located at ‘C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps//’
Use the two batch files, “TF2 – Game Configuration & TF2 – Movie Configuration” to switch between game & movie setups. You’ll need to edit TF2 – Game Configuration.bat – copy whatever launch options you have in Steam and paste them there. As an example I left my launch options.
Configure prefences.cfg & xhair.cfg to your liking and you’re ready to record :)

Enjoy :)

What? :D
It was the same problem i had klu, to view demos using the GUI you have to put them in the folder that the demoui browse button defaults to.

Can you play the demo? Bit coincidental we both have the same problem!
I really want to record some stuff and play around with it in Vegas and AE, but when i record it goes like “uber slowmotion?”
Am i doing anything wrong or is this normal?
It’s normal then you have recorded something it should be slow, try to drag your file to vegas or some other program and it will be normal :)

Yes, when you use the startmovie command it then quickly starts taking screenshots, then you insert them into a program like Virtualdub. Here is a tutorial.

Looks great!
But I have a little problem. I used to play tf2 with different “viewmodel_fov” on each weapon. And when I’m watching any demos and push “-” to reload binds & prefs. it helps only to the next switch of weapons. After switching different “viewmodel_fov” is coming back :(
How can I solve this problem?
Thx for attention!
p.s. sorry about my english

Be surprised if this works, I didn’t think demo names could have spaces in them
