I agree with josh’s original ban. The extension was his own stupidity. Fair enough on his current ban.

Josh has been pasting me virtually every conversation that he’s had with admins of both pickup2 and etf2l, and i have to say that even i’m starting to suspect some sort of grudge revenge deal going on.

Long story short – they’re currently talking/considering banning josh for 2 years because of old cs hacks.

Now a lot of people hate josh and i can understand why. He hasn’t done much to ingratiate himself to the community over the years. But since the extended ban, afaik, he has conducted himself as required from the demands made of him. He was banned for being a dick, then it was extended, and now as his ban looks to be near an end, you’re gonna ban him again.

What exactly are you looking to do here guys? We all want a cheat free environment, and if you think josh has ever cheated at tf2, i’d expect you to ban him immediately. Fact is, he’s one of the top players of demoman the league has seen, he’s also got the biggest mouth this league has ever seen, and it’s a crying shame that one is going to ruin the other.

In time to come, when the shouts of “tf2 is dying” gets louder and louder, and the community dwindles to fewer players, i’m sure you’ll be asking yourself “where did everyone go?!” Yet you’re going to end up banning a top player because he told someone 1 year ago that he should fuck off and die. And honestly – would ANY of this crap be floating around if that had not happened?

Here’s a conversation he had with an admin:
j – My ban will be longer than someone who has actually cheated competitively at tf2.
admin — jokse the rules changed just before S6
j- And I didn’t get VAC banned ‘just before S6’
admin — The time of that means nothing

So the vac ban has been there all this time. He was investigated and banned previously. So none of this “vac ban” business can be news to the admin team. You’ve investigated both his accounts in order to trace that he was multi-accounting. How strange does it look that you’ve waited until his ban is about to expire and he’s looking to play tf2 again in order to come up with a new reason to ban him? Especially after a new rule is introduced to be more harsh on people in that situation. Grudge!?

Like josh said during that conversation – and was ignored by the admin – people who smoked in pubs before the ban occured are not jailed IN RETROSPECT after the ban occured. That’s not how the justice system works anywhere in the world. Grudge?

This really is starting to look like a case of people having a grudge against him.

it’s VAC2, meaning he’d got 2 new accs already. it’s not VAC, i.e. HL1, which is “ok” apparently, cause it’s over WAAAY longer.

I’m sure this is completely unbelievable BECAUSE it’s josh, but. One of his previous accounts was actually hacked and vac banned by the time he got it back. I don’t know the timeline of all his accounts, but i know that’s at least true in one case.

In the interests in fairness, tapley, he was a twat, banned, then banned for dodging a ban. Since the first time, he wasn’t a twat. At least, not anywhere that should concern you or ANYONE else. There are twats in the world. Deal with it. Unless you want to ban a guy in the street for laughing at you when you tripped over a kerb.

Deliberatly ignoring the rules and then getting his new “team” docked points for playing a banned player is twattish tbh. So what if he behaved himself for a month whilst being called someone else, he’s still joske burning up with chav rage inside.
If he was banned in cs thats irrelevant, he should just serve his ban for being a penis then fairs fair.

Will the admins be individually researching every ETF2L account for any VAC Ban’s and banning them? Because if you don’t, you are singling one person out. And that’s called persecution, as far as I’m aware. .

That’s what we are actually working on, so that of course doesn’t only apply to joske.

He’s served his ban for being a twat, and hasn’t cheated in this league, or the whole game of TF2. He’s done his time in my opinion.
