just read the news,
if a player, doesnt matter who (you will be surprised which are a cheater according to VALVe)
can not show the AC team with all his old or new steam accounts in the next 1 1/2 weeks –
that the vac banned is only HL1, they will be banned for 2yr in ETF2L

Why?
because they cheated in an HL2 game

Oh he says, it was only CS:S.
He cheated, can he be trusted? Why should he not lying.
He used cheats for a Source Game, which are similar, so
the cheat could be working on CS:S, TF2 and other HL2 games.

If it truly was a 0% tolerance, they should be banned from ETF2L if they are VAC banned, regardless of engine.

I simply don’t see the logic in banning someone who’s VACbanned on the HL2 engine but leaving someone who hacking in the HL1 engine free to play.

And when you use a cheat on any source games of you steam account, you usually know that there is a risk of being VAC banned and not being able to play TF2 any more, don’t you?

Doesn’t matter, if you use cheats you take the risk of being vac banned.
VAC banned = no vac secured servers = no offical matches, right?

If hacking on another Source game (let’s say for example CS:S) gets you banned from ETF2L, hacking in a GoldSource game (let’s say for example CS 1.6) should get you banned from ETF2L as well.

That…if someone wanted to just “fuck around” or “test” cheats or whatever, they could’ve done that on non-secure servers or a listenserver and not get vac’ed. The fact that they did it on secure servers means they’re borderline retarded or total knob heads, most likely both.

So these same morons should either be forced to create a new steamaccount and buy a second copy of the game they want to compete in before even registering to a league, or get banned from anything that contains the word “comp” as soon as someone notices their bans on record (gotta be tough on 13 y/o spazzes to be banned from masturbating compulsively).

For people who still don’t get it (almost everybody in this thread):

1) Joske is not yet banned

2) Joske punishment has to do with the new ban policy, and nothing else http://etf2l.org/2009/10/25/anti-cheat-section-bans-more/ He’ll receive the same punishment as anyone else, why would he be an exception?

Could have swore i saw him playing in a VAC secure server @ the weekend pickup2. i assume they are VAC secure, So why the ban?

1st VALVe also distinguish between HL1 and HL2 bans,
so players used a cheat in 1.6 can not play any HL1 games anymore (with this account) but they are able to play TF2 and other Source games (famous example http://etf2l.org/forum/user/356/)

2nd its not right to ban a player just because he used a cheat in another game
even imo his character is doubtful, but maybe he was young
(but because Source games are similar, CS:S dont count as a complete other game)
