Hello first.
The question is: Is it possible to set a short cut or sth with which you may start tf2 with high video settings?
i personally use m0re’s high fps cfg and i cant think of deleting the launch options and/or the autoexec every time when i want to have high settings in-game. since i will often have to change between high fps and high quality settings, i assume that sth like a short cut would be the most handy way to solve this.
but is this possible? also if somebody knows another way how to solve this, plz reply and let me know.
Cheers
Make a new config file like a class config file and type
exec [filename]
In console and it should work…
Just download a movie config and exec it.
Edit; if you want to be pointless and have it even shorter use alias like
alias "highquality" "exec highquality"

Check on the pldx site. The TF2 movie config there does what you’re looking for. The site seems to be down now for some reason :S

Its back up.
Ok, thanks for the fast reply. Im gonna dl the cfg tommorow then.
but what about the launch options? i will just have to add and remove them every time i guess.
You shouldn’t need to, you can change directx ingame as well and I’m pretty sure most movie configs set dx9 automatically (I use my own movie config so I’m not entirely sure).
shortcuts should work.
try something like “Steam.exe -applaunch 440 +exec movie.cfg”
