Aww hampshire heavys2 almost beat hampshire heavys 1 despite being 2 div’s below :D.
Written in Perl because it’s the best damn language ever invented, heh.
Thats a bold statement… :P
I think this would be a great complement to a ladder. The problem is (as Arnold kindly pointed out) that you never get information about how teams would do against other divisions. A ladder would solve that. Plz gief *this and a ladder.

I fully agree. Once you get indoctrinated by PERL, everything else feels stupid and cumbersome — the Python and Ruby people would disagree though :)
And you should talk to DeneusBeer, because he’s already recruited me ;) Well actually… I made him recruit me but yea… same thing. Would be nice to talk to all the admins together, maybe we could weave this into ETF2L properly :)
*nods* I found that out a few hours after writing the post, and yes, it would!

Right, the biggest problem is getting as much data as possible. And this means entering just about every match played (PCWs have a lower K, so losing them doesn’t matter too much). I don’t think this is such a problem for lower skilled teams because they seem more interested in following stats and other fun stuff like this. But for division 1 teams who already know they can kick 90% of TF2s ass, they just won’t care.
With a ladder, there is a possibility that they will be more motivated to enter results, I think.
Can anyone from division 1/2 comment on that assumption?
Cycles, you are SO sexy.
He’s even sexier with that site-admin tag — ELO-ladders, here we come!
HLstatsX is a modified version of ELOstats for CS1.6 and TFC back in the day. Just some idiot called Tobi (the guy who owns HLstatsX Premium) came along and ruined the whole damn thing. o/
Epic statistics, i really like it and it gives a new insight into the season. It did remind me of HLstats, but wouldn’t a team playing more matches and winning, even against crap teams, mean they would rise up a ladder even if they weren’t that good? Could be a problem unless there was a way to average the score vs total number of games played…
