hi i ahve a server and im trying to update it ive tryed the following things using hlsw:

_restart
restart
quit
changed map

anyone help me please??

Bassically, its because your server host is useless and a complete failure at Admin’ingz because they haven’t ran the update script properly.

Essentially updating a server consists of the following procedure:

1) Shutdown the server
2) Run the steam SRCDS update tool (a standalone command line program) or copy new files to the server.
3) Start the server again.

The thing is that normally, you can copy the files to the server without shutting it down as its normally only minor changes. But when its a big update like this, the server (remember it is just a computer program) needs to be closed so the program can update properly.

So in otherwords, shutdown your server. Wait a few hours then try again and see what happens.
