if you only care about the ETF2L League,
and really want more “pressure” join a League of Wireplay or ESL and hf
League != Ladder
If you meant the ladder, it was already stated that there isn’t an userbase.

are you just ignorant?

A ETF2L Ladder
hell freezes before this comes (the admins know that there is no need for)if you only care about the ETF2L League,

Neither of which are currently running. In fact, Wireplay hasn’t even announced signup dates, so that’s still at least a month off.

Go out, it’s summer, hang up with real-life friends ;)

I think you’re the ignorant one tbh, this thread is about introducing a ladder for TF2, not alternative leagues to ETF2L for clans that want to play more wars.
Ok cheetah you made your point and I think we just about understand now that you are against a ladder. However this is just your opinion so please let others express theirs.
I for one would like to see an ETF2L ladder. I agree that it would take some time to prepare, but once the hard work of creating it is done I think they are relatively easy to manage. If you needed an extra admin to run it I’m sure someone would be up for the job.
I also think that a ladder won’t be utilised much by established div1 teams, but it would be used massively by divs 6-2.
p.s. I believe ETF2L should feel obliged to making this ladder because thanks to their EASY TO USE site I am intolerant of any other (such as ED ESL etc)
+1
I just want to show you possibilities for more wars,
so that you are not so disappointed, when the ETF2L makes their statement
well a ladder here would be good for teams who couldn’t get one of the league spots in time. we all know that there’s always a huge waiting list. admins also could rate the lower and newer teams lot better before placing them into the league.
anyone here remembers the v-ladder we had in tfc? quite liked the fixed games on monday. always a good preparation and no need to setup pcws.
Well, I think a ladder has potential. I think some of the main problems with previous ladders was their lack of user friendly-ness. Ladders and ESL make me shudder, and I don’t remember the ED ladder being particularly nice, I never got on with their website very well either.
In the right setting, with a good clear format and an easy to use website I think it could work.
I personally think that a ladder would really help the competetive TF2 scene, it would of course mean there are more games going on, and would hopefully be beginner friendly. It would also mean people don’t need to base ETF2L on divisioned games, though some people are against the fact of playing lower/higher skilled teams than themselves, but it is a step forward! I also think that it would attract more players as there is always activity, it seems that the CB Ladders for CoD4 really have helped that game come far in terms of competetivity. If ETF2L wasn’t up for doing it, I’m sure CB would!
There just needs to be a popular league other than etf2l. Even more so if the league was recognised by sponsors and mgos
If ETF2L aren’t interested or don’t have the resources to form something of this sort, it wouldn’t be a problem as long as there would be enough users interested in trying something like this out. Ladders have never been for top teams, but keep in mind the amount of teams in div1-div2 compared to rest of the divs.
Do want!
I had more in mind something that would be user friendly and aimed solely towards a tf2 community.
