How much bandwidth does tf2 (online gaming in general) use?

I’m looking at changing isp. Zen has a reasonably cheap and well reviewed service £17 for 5gb per month.
I don’t do p2p, torrents or news groups. I have no concept of how much online gaming takes up?
You will need more than that really, if not just for general downloads will soon eat 5gb a month up.
I use plusnet pro and i can track my usage. For a normal gaming night so that will be using voice comms as well. Playing from 7 – 12 It uses about appox 300 mb of bandwidth MINIMUM.
So say you play 5 nights a week ( sun – thus ) you will use
300 mb x 5 days x 4 weeks = 6GB per month. Then you will need download bandwidth for updates and patches and torrents ofc.

5 gig is really shreading the bandwidth, ive gotta 4mb unlimited donwload for 15 quid a month :D granted its with a package
Haha, datalimits ^^
Yeah, what is this nonsense?
Datalimits on internet is ridiculous in the days of unlimited mobile internet usage tbh.
Oh so that isn’t that much then? I’m limited to certain packages because of my location. I agree that doesn’t seem like much.
I was just looking at adsl 24 which offers 30 gb for £18.90 but I can’t see them reviewed any where.
Internet in the UK is generally more expensive than on mainland eu.
While you want to try and find a ‘unlimited’ package keep a eye out for isps that throttle certain protocols and some ISP have inherently bad routing to certain services and will give you bad pings, these are hard to find out in advance but most common in package deals where they do not use the BT Wholesale network such as Tisical and Sky, sometimes they are fine sometimes you will get stuck with a 100 ping.
In regards to finding out what you can get go here http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/adslchecker.php this is the best adsl checker around and will tell you what you can and can’t get.
I like my 110mbit for 40e. Could be cheaper though :x
