So i went there.
I left home at about 12:30 PM, and took the bus to Amsterdam.
at 13:30 i was picked up there by the ever-charming ViQun. He was supposed to pick up appe aswell, but appe didn’t show any signs of live. As far as i know, he still hasn’t. o.o

Anyway, when we left from Amsterdam, it was scalding hot. Of course this being the Netherlands, it was shorty followed by some of the heaviest rain storms I’ve seen in a few years. They even put out a weather alert over the radio ^^.

At long last we arrived in Enschede, at around 16:30 PM. Who was there at the venue?

Some characteristics:

Amon, ever-busy making sure everything went right
Vlijm, solely defending the GoT honors.
Boinks, Akazash & BvD, being dutch :)
The Pledge, talking to everyone about everything.
Exfane, taking pictures of a very, very tired Blind. (I don’t think he liked that btw)
A_spec, shouting out crazy things occasionally while setting up his casting stuff.
Had a chat with Nor. Vice was around aswell.
Caliban & saiboat, both glad to be able to speak german, getting away from all those weird dutchies.
I even had my picture taken by Freakadelle. (I wonder where he’ll put it, i hope not above his bed)
At some point, the german invasion arrived, rockit like next & some VeAre dudes i think.
they brought Thy, every pedobear’s dream.

A nice moment was when ViQun discovered his team had gotten a minor warning, and then ran to his teammates with his laptop (a macbook pro, mind you) to show it to them.

Then we had the swedish delegation, mostly fader and some FB guys. Some of them were playing TF2 all the time, practicing on turris and bball.
There were some finnish dudes, and DAMN, finnish is really not na understandable language. Crazyness.
YoYomix was on-scene, though i haven’t seen much of them, i think they were gaming over in the corner.

I saw the door with the 18+ sign on it, http://www.thecommunitylan.com/wp-content/gallery/wzzrd/corner4b.jpg and Amon went in there :O. He had a strange smile on his face when he came out.

What else? Set up a mumble server with viqun, cause the organization failed (haha)
Ofcourse TF2 didn’t work on any of the PC’s there, so amon & co spent some time getting it running. Some PC’s had nice artefacts, but updating the video drivers to a version that wasn’t 2 years old luckily helped.
Apparently, because there are fewer teams, we didn’t rent all of wzzrd, so the pricemoney will be increased! :)
Had some nice pizza. Too bad the in-house pizzeria was closed, but we ordered some from the local dominos, who actually knew where the wzzrd was.

What didn’t i see?
coolclan, the english brigade (arx, beta, tapley, profuse etc.), and TCM (who apparently got drunk in Amsterdam and couldn’t find their way to Enschede)
and appe, who did have an interesting swedish voicemail, but was unreachable besides that.

I left the venue at 21:30, hopped on the train to amsterdam, then took the bus home from there. I arrived home at 1 AM, and am now typing this.

And i gotto get up at 7 AM, going on vacation, which is why i couldn’t play.

So much happened, and i was only there for 5 hours, on a day no games were played, but i had a great time. Imagine a whole 2 days of TF2-loving people from all over europe. Now that would be something. I’m looking forward to TCL2, which will ofcourse have much more teams. (hai dignitas)

P.S.: ViQun is a german.
