Linux Dedicated Server

* Improved connection logic to help servers that aren’t automatically reconnecting to Steam, and added extra logging to track it
* Added extra data gathering to help us understand and improve Linux performance

Team Fortress 2

* Changed cl_flipviewmodels so it can no longer be set while connected to a server
* Fixed problem with Loadout Menu “Back” button not preserving the currently equipped weapon
* Fixed a case where an observer could set the observed player’s view models
* Fixed the Heavy’s punches not matching mouse button presses when the view models are flipped
* Fixed Bonk! ammo count exploit after using a regeneration locker
* Fixed Dead Ringer damage reduction exploit involving Spy taunting
* Reverted Force-A-Nature and airblast knockback on disguised Spies, so that they can once again be knocked back

Missed notes from previous update

* The Ambassador no longer penetrates buildings
* Removed the movement speed penalty on The Razorback

* Changed cl_flipviewmodels so it can no longer be set while connected to a server

Hmm… Then what is the point in having that viewmodel command?

I see no use for it anymore :s Anyone who has played TF2 for some time (from what ive heard) just finds it weird and distracting…

Another useless feature, why dont Valve put their time into fixing things rather than making pointless things like this…

handedness is utterly useless and irrelevant, but of course let’s make it so you need to reconnect to use it :)

also it’s like a 10 second process to write a script for switching viewmodels, not really a “waste of time”

Just be glad they listen to the community, acknowledge when they make mistakes and try to fix them asap, if they where EA, we would be fucked.

Eon, the reason you see random features that serve no real purpose is because when coders hit a brickwall in their primary task, they’ll often have a list of “polish” tasks to keep them occupied. Coders can’t just sit and fathom for hours on end, it’s unproductive and a waste of time. You’d see the same rate of progress whether these things were added or not.

Eon, the reason you see random features that serve no real purpose is because when coders hit a brickwall in their primary task, they’ll often have a list of “polish” tasks to keep them occupied. Coders can’t just sit and fathom for hours on end, it’s unproductive and a waste of time. You’d see the same rate of progress whether these things were added or not.

And features like this arent when there are alot of problems with TF2 that need fixing.

For example the spy hand…
Re adding the equip command…
Fixing the “random drop” system so that you can earn hats through prestige achievements…
Soldier, Demoman and Engineer updates…

That was an improvement, mirroring the image onto another side isnt…

If someone can say to me that they actually use the left handed models and enjoy using them then sure, it has a purpose but im willing to be about 5% of all the TF2 players use left handed models and they are probly just used to it from CS(:S).

That would be one of the worst thing ever. The hats are mean to be rare. They wouldn’t because everybody would farm the achievements.
