This is also a buff for the demo. He also doesn’t shoot from crosshair but from the weapon. It’s less than for a solly, but still useful enough to make a bind for :P

Only the option of getting the RL to shoot from the center to the actual pointed spot is now missing. It’s ridiculous that they still didn’t implement it, when it’s obvious that it should be enabled in a competitive game. Players are just too used to it, but I’m just getting more and more grey hairs thinking about it.
And obviously, the same goes for all the other weapons that do this, too.

The optimal solution for competitive play would be to enforce centered weapon shots at all times. Spamming from behind a corner is IMO hurting competitive gameplay rather than improving it.

Hm… I think its part of the game… I understand why they have done this and I think its purely for the competitive side to even it out. Making the projectile come from the centre of the screen will only be good if you dont use viewmodels tbh.
I get what you mean about making the projectile come FROM the viewmodel but isnt that abuseable? Couldnt i set my viewmodel_fov to 10 and then fire round corners while i am completely hidden?
compton, how would you want them to do that? It it would come from the middle of the screen, they would probably need to make it come from the middle of the 3rd person model too, and that would probably mess up the model…
Except if they make a different model animation or something

Useful for spamming sentrys from behind a crate or wall on the left side now too, wouldn't exactly call it a buff :D
