are the weapon drops independent from the class you actually play? so i can get sniper / spy weapons while playing scout or sold?
The main issue for league will be all unlock not just the sniper/spy since new players will be effected for all unlock….. I was glad to here no more grinding achievements but this is worse! WoW drops without a pattern!
I imagine unless things change it will may mean no unlocks allowed unless both teams agree before hand.
I think it’s nice that we don’t have to farm achivements anymore HOWEVER, the new random system blows. If it was based on something skill related I think it would be nice. Say you do an awesome killing streak or just survive for a long time, getting a good k/d ratio or doin you job as a medic by saving lots of people with your uber. If these moments would result in a higher probability of geting an unlock, I’d say it could work nicely and be really fun. But at the moment it just feels so random.
To me it seems as they are only trying the system out on us, since you can get your allready achived weapons. And because everybody seem to hate it, they will probably change it a bit soon. Today hopefully.

the new unlocks cant be allowed in leagues if everyone doesnt have the chance to wield them…

Perhaps ban them for a certain amount of time (like a month perhaps?), by that time everyone should’ve gotten them I guess.
I saw someone join during setup time and immediately got the sandman – so it can’t be based on time.
On a public server that I was owning up I got nothing but a backburner so it can’t be skill related either.
Unless it is like crits and it is for the most part random with a slight boost from skill and or time played etc

Also ye, this system is überghey.
The weps shouldn’t have been tied to achievements in the first place but this is even worse.

Go ontono multiplays store server, go pyro… type in console +attack and run around for a bit. you are guarenteed to get lots of kills and lots of drops!
