Steam wont start up

When im starting steam, its loading for a while and my pc lagging like hell. And after some minutes, steam crashes and everything goes back to normal. Someone knows what to do? :) Yesterday it worked fine :S

Well its hard to help you because it can be a 100 things…do you get some error message of some kind?

can be that steam servers is bussy, wait some time and then try again.
No error, the Steam first page starts up and its lagging like hell. Then after some time, Steam crashes and the PC is not lagging anymore.
It was the same this morning
have you installed something lately?
Some new program of any kind?

hmmm…well then its hard to tell, can be virus that causing this but a doubt it, but if that may be the case test this site:

If thats not helping Iam sorry you probably need to reinstall steam :(
Close mumble (if opened). I have the same problem when mumble is running before steam.
