Thats correct i have issues with mice. Not not lice, the topical cream on the pubes has thankfully sorted that!
I infact have a new mouse one “Razer Dimondback 3G” My first pro gaming mouse in about 8 years of using my pc :D.
Now i have no idea about DPI or anything so was looking for some help.
Before i just used a bog standard ms intellimouse on default windows sens and 2 sens ingame.
Im looking for the same similar performance in this new mouse, which is very smooth and good for strafing but seems a little twitchy and more sensitive going up then to the sides, its currently at 1800 dpi?
IT seems a good mouse overall although the side buttons are annoying and i cant seem to lift the mouse up much ( i lift it off the pad alot, and when during rj’ing as i dont use scripts!)
Ive got the older diamond back (1600dpi). Run 1.0 sens ingame with no smoothing, and standard windows settings/speeds. Resolution is 1680×1050.
I never use the sidebuttons, they are shit :P
“Run 1.0 sens ingame with no smoothing”
+1 to this, best to adjust the mouses dpi to what feels best for you, keeping windows default and game at 1.0
The DPI you use doesn’t matter, just set it to what feels best for you
wish you could actually change the dpi on the Deathadder instead of the stuck choices of 1800, 900 and 450…
Have you tried messing around with the on-the-fly sensitiviy settings?
Just bind one of the side keys to OFA and scroll up while holding it.
nub, dpi does matter and i dunno wtf you came up with keeping ingame sens at 1.0 cos that doesnt matter jack.

read that
kthx
@ Gibbz,
Pretty sure you can change each of those 3 settings, those figures are just the defaults. You can make them much closer together if you want.
Can someone explain to me the difference in sens and acelleration in gaming terms? They appear to be the two options in the advanced settings on my mouse config thing and not sure what to have which where? And how do i make sure mouse smooth is turned off?
Oh i hate new mice! :< if only it was as easy back in my q1 days of just picking a sensitivity.
accel mean you will get +x degrees when flicking you mouse. The faster you moove your mouse, the more degrees you get. Smth like that…
