FPS improvment after new update?

Haven’t done a benchmark but the first thing I noticed last night was the game felt a lot smoother.
Didn’t get any fps increase in desktop pc (comanglia’s original cfg) and lost ~30-40 fps on my laptop (comanglia’s max stability cfg)
Is the Comanglia config what most people are using now? I’ve been inactive and still have chris maxframes. Could I expect any significant improvement switching?

afaik comanglia is an updated verison of chris’ config and its better for some. Personally I have used both and i dont see any diffrence
Seems smoother for me, predominantly in HL or on maps with some pretty bad optimization (Warmtic, Sunshine).

Chris’ high FPS modified
Can’t remember if XMP is enabled.
Also no hats mod, newest version prior to the update.
Some clean TF2 elements aswell like decal removal, can’t remember which ones.

You can also try R4ndom’s Config. I recently switched to that and I get ~20 more fps than with Comanglia’s one.
