Are you recording with 200fps, like you said some posts earlier?
Just use startmovie to create a shit tonne of .TGAs and a .wav and then compile them all in virtual dub. Works a lot nicer than the dodgy avi you otherwise.
@ wuff
Yes I tried it with 200 fps. Will try with 60 fps now that you mentioned it.
@ kaidus
Ok. I’ll try it right now.
So now I’m filming demos with .tga method. Everything is allright, but when I start compressing it in VirtualDub with ffdshow codec, there’s some… uhhmm… pink reflections: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ignFvdrHUk&feature=channel_page from 40 to 46 secods its very noticable.
Other codecs or uncompressed works fine, but since Sony Vegas only understands .avi files coded with DivX (and DivX itself gives me error while trying to compress) ffdshow is my best choice. Can anyone suggest me some other codec or some changes to ffdshow to fix this?
By the way, I use single pass 100% quality DivX settings in ffdshow.
try to put the tga files together as an uncompressed avi. the result will end in a huge filesize but at least there’s no loss in quality. you could also try to install one of the lossless avi codecs to save some space.
Having uncompressed vids is really not an option. My hard drive isnt very big, so I cant afford having 1min clip taking up 10+GB. And is there any way to fix that pinkish stuff? Or atleast hide it somehow? Since I deleted .tga files, and .dem files o.O
