EDIT: Should mention I changed my mind, I think if you make it web-based, invite only, captain mode, and limited to top high/prem, it’ll work out really well. No class restrictions though please, stops games starting. Allow the captain system to self-govern offclassing.

High + Prem with captain system sounds like the best solution. I’ve wanted a captains based pickup system forever.

why have skill restrictions then when captain system can self-govern that too?

because without skill restrictions it just becomes tf2pickup.net with captains – since there’s no expectation that they’ll be high skill, it doesn’t attract high skill people, and nobody aspires to play there either.
how about nationality restriction? i made a list of eligible countries:
sweden (ofc)
norway
iceland
finland
DEFINITELY NOT DENMARK
luxemburg
nl
not france but dmoule
manchester and liverpool but not newcastle
not rest of england
wales
austria
estonia
