yeah, div3 6v6 is pretty much played like a pub as well

You should really add Beach.
He’s an amazing highlander demoman, he’s super calm, kind and friendly plus I’ve never met anybody more enthusiastic about the game.
I think he’s also pretty modest so it may seem like he’s brushing you off at first but don’t let that worry you, it’s just his way of being polite!

He made me the demo I am today.

While true if you compare 6v6 and highlander; d3 highlander is about d5 6v6 skill wise from my experience.

People in general get a feeling on how 6v6 actually works as early as div5, whilst for Highlander you wont find anything resembling “skill” up until div2/3. This is proof that there is far more tryharding and pressure to improve in 6v6 than there is in Highlander, otherwise there would be more competent Highlander teams.

I wouldn’t say however that your skill level scaling would continue to apply for div2 and up. There are players who are low div in 6v6 managing to stand up, if not even occasionally defeat 6v6 pros in Highlander.
