After watching a demo everything messed up?

I was watching nubonamission’s demo against cc on Well yesterday, and part way through I disconnected from it and started playing a game. From the on, I noticed that quite often, if I didn’t have my primary weapon out, sometimes it would randomly switch to my primary. This got very annoying when I was playing medic, because at least once every 10 seconds, my healing gun would suddenly change to my syringe gun.
Anyone got any idea how to fix this? I watched through the demo again, hoping it’d reset it. Didn’t work. I watched one of my own demos, didn’t work. I’ve restarted TF2 countless times and my PC a fair few. I’ve tried executing autoexec.cfg, along with all of my individual class configs. I have no idea what to do. Help?
LOL, that is odd
… you could try removing your cfg folder (back it up) -autoconfig in the launch options, then restart the game with ur stuff back in – should fix it
ah, the old joke of bind w “slot3” while recording eh?
You probably copied his config and pressed the button he uses to switch weapon or something along those lines. Removing your config.cfg should help.
God damn I’m a tard. I just tapped a few random keys while playing, and noticed that my F key was switching to slot1, F is also my talk key in Vent/Mumble, so every time I tried to talk, it’d switch. All fixed now. The Lol’s were warranted.
xD nice one Inexistence ^.^
At least I never played an actual game or even pcw with it, it was only publics. Pissed me off a fair bit though :P
Upload your POV demo I’ll probably have a gander :P
had similiar problems once too after watching a demo. but I restarted the game and everything went back to normal ^^
Its pretty normal, used to happen with tfc as well, not very funny when you’d realise halfway through an important match!
Same thing happened to me after I watched some pov demo. I noticed it straight away cause cross-hair was changed. By stv demos I didn’t get that problem, which is normal I guess.
