Pocket Soldiers - Damage taken

Hey guys.
I`m playing pocket soldier in a div5 team nowadays and looking through my logs i see that no matter if we loose or win or if its an even game i have always the most damage taken [from both teams]
From one side that`s only logical that a pocket will get most heals and will soak up most of the damage. But i feel like more then often i`m getting damaged too much and teams will follow up on that with a push.
On the plus side – if i take most of the damage, that leaves my demo unharmed.
But i`m practically out of the fight for a few secs with no ammo reloaded and low health.
If i keep being the punching bag – how should my team initiate on it?
If you’re the only one taking damage, just remember you have 4 people on your team with no applied pressure.
Does self damage count towards damage taken at all?
Either way judging from my team’s logs, it seems pocket always takes the most damage, nothing out of the ordinary.
I don’t think it necessarily means anything gameplay wise. You push on an advantage, you fall back on a disadvantage. Damage taken counts towards these things, but it’s hardly an important factor (especialy in div 5).

Of course the pocket has the most damage taken, but as i said even in games we win i have taken more damage then enemy pocket. So either i should try to dodge a little more, or i play as i have played, but we as a team should utilize the fact that our demo for example only takes 5 or 6k damage in a 30 min map and thous should play more agro.
So either i`m shit for not trying to dodge spam as much as i could :D or we don`t take advantage on a factor that could be played around. That`s the same as having a heavy on last you know – its a meat shield that will soak up the spam so the rest has better heals and ammo/clip.
Just ask yourself if you are you doing anything useful by taking the damage. Eating a load of damage at the right time can be helpful, but if you can’t make use of it then you should probably stop doing it.

Why would you think taking a lot of damage as a pocket is a bad thing? Taking damage is a consequence of being aggressive and pressuring the other team. Taking less damage could actually be an indicator of you being too passive and giving up space easily. I wouldn’t worry unless you constantly run into 100 damage rockets all the time.
Taking damage ain’t bad as long as you deal out more than you take.
Or you take focus away from your teammates.
If you achieve neither, you’re doing it wrong.
It’s kind of irrelevent number alone.
Compear it to others, like deaths/damge/kills/ and what not
i.e :
if you have lot more damge taken than anyone else, but still don’t die more than anyone, that’s job well done. And you can see you used your heals well.
if you take most damage and also die most then you are probably doing something wrong. Whether it is positioning, getting caught, fighting alone lack of team work.. and so on
if you take less damage and die more, really bad
