messed up my gamma amongst other things.

so I was a playing around with fps configs, and I set mat_monitorgamma 1.7.
It destroys my eyes to look at, but I can’t figure out how to change it back. Setting it to 1 or 0 has no visible effect whatsoever.
Any halp?
i think the default monitor gamma is 2.2
Yes 2.2 is default, and I guess setting it to 1 didnt make it any brighter because 1.6 is minimum (I think).
so while I’m spazzing around with graphics related stuff, I’m also getting horrendous lines of discontinuity rolling up my screen. can these be fixed?
me thinks you have been using vsync, there is an option to turn vsync ON in advanced video, but why to god you would do this =[
Those splitting images happen when your fps can’t keep up with the refresh rate of the monitor, afaik.
Try the launch option/command line -freq x
Where x is the max refresh rate support by your monitor for your in-game resolution
