Does it mean it won’t crash on joining the esea servers?
it is a mystery
I managed to join a PUG server earlier so I guess the thing works.
Remember to uninstall PREC otherwise you just get kicked from the server.

Yep – it detects it as a plugin and kicks you. It’s just a case of taking the PREC files out of your custom folder before launching TF2 and then putting them back again after you’re finished playing.

Your POV is automatically recorded with the client.
You dont have to uninstall P-REC. You can simply pause plugins for the duration of the match with this command:
plugin_pause_all
also revert any lod-bias changes from your gfx drivers or risk getting banned *sigh*

Don’t you have to activate it in the options first?

At least I had to after installing the client. I would guess it is the same for everyone.
what I did:
I created a new “esea.cfg” in my custom\slate\cfg folder and put in:
echo "ESEA.cfg"
plugin_unload 0
then i created a new shortcut on my desktop and added “-insecure” and “+exec esea.cfg” to my usual start parameters.
-insecure? why you need that?
ESEA servers don’t run VAC?

so I can under no circumstance join a VAC secured server with the ESEA Client loaded into the game.

No the POV for the match is automatically recorded. The option for recording your POV is for pre-game and not for the match itself.
