I’ve finally found someone to tell how much iceworld bloooows, it honesly needs a redesign or a removal.

edit, might wanna remove scout achievement map out of rotation :P

Good thing about scout acievement maps is it has no walls! :)

Right crits are removed now
minimum vertical knockback = 500
Min distance from ground before they’re hurt – 60

Anyone able to help me play test and check if its better without crits/ do i need to tweak any of these settings?

I just played on your server. I like the idea but the none of the changes that you described could be found.
I found the main problem the crits. It’s insanely annoying to get blown around so much. The map (duel_duel3 at that time) is filled with medpacks so i don’t see why the crits have to be there to start with.
I can say that ,if you remove the crits and adjust the other things you just mentioned, i will prolly play quite a bit on this server.
Some things that could be changed imo:
-The text that keeps coming up telling me that my shotty is disabled. (just minor i know but you wanted to hear people tell you what could use change. :3)
-i’d lower the player count to 6. 8 people is just a spamfest.

Can i suggest a map that has a few spires, you spawn on the ground, but whilst you are on the ground you lose 30 health per second, forcing you to jump up to the top?

That (what Renegade is writing) is something I also would like to see implemented on the usual dm store pro server.
It would be nice if you would loose say 10 hp a second while you are standing on the containers next to your spawn, preventing cowards to stand there and spam and wait for the enemies to jump to his /her side and get themselves into a significant disadvantage.

About the server you are discussing, it sounds a bit strange to have 100% crits ?
Why not 0% ?

Sounds interesting Renegade, maybe DM_Hans would be a good shout.

However the problems im coming accross some issues in terms of the crits.

Basically if theres no crits then people dont really jump and with normal rockets u you shoot them at peoples feet they dont really go very high. Theres a mod made by Mikejs which launches people into the sky when hit, vertical uplift but at the moment that it just as spazzy as critrockets.

With crit rockets the game plays a bit faster and a bit of fun ( which is what its meant to be :) ) and 1 hit kills. Im tempted to leave it on crit only as i cant find any other ways around it tbh without re-coding the game :p.

But yeah renegades idea of decrementing health might be a good shout i’ll look into it.

And yeah theres dm store mid-air map! But at the moment the map cycle dosnt work even though theres a time limit and my map list and cycle configs are full :-(

What if you gave everyone around 810HP to survive up to 3 airshots with crits on? Same game speed , more airshots, less insta death whine. :)

A map that encourages people to jump up would be great. King of the hill where you get points for standing on a cap point on top of a spire/tower! Swifty’s idea sounds good too.

haha, Ignore the negative from people that cant hit mid air shots, I love midair mod only problem with it is the difference in rocket speed! Now with what you have done it is in line with normal play in tf2 gj mate.

+1 for giving people more hp maybe 1000 so it is possible for the quad air???

like the idea but please make the rockets the same speed as standard tf2, otherwise it’s pointless to advertise the game as any useful form of practice.
