Thanks to Trading Cards and all that stuff, I now have loads of discount coupons that I’m probably never going to use. They do expire at some point so it’d be a shame to just let them sit there and die. As such I figured maybe I can make someone else happy with them.
These are the discounts in my inventory at the moment:
-50% Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army
-50% Anna – Extended Edition
-50% Psychonauts
-50% Sanctum
-50% Droid Assault
-50% Crusader Kings II

Now, I’m not going to be difficult about a few cents (or pennies if you will), but something similar in value would be nice to trade it against. Preferably trading cards – but anything I can sell in the Steam Market is fine!

Actually, now I think of it, trading a discount coupon for something equal to its value is a bit pointless (you might as well buy the game without discount) :D
I’ll go for half of the discount value :)
For example, Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army costs 11 euros right now. 50% discount would be 5.50, so I’ll trade the coupon for something that is worth roughly 2.25. Sounds fair?

That’s a lot of coupons!. Just how many of those trading cards did you craft away?
Just asking because the (steam market) value of those trading cards would probably have been worth more than the trouble of trying to sell coupons (or any savings you could have gotten from a coupon).
Example:
At the moment standard TF2 cards go for 0,28-0,31€ on the steam market. Should you decide to sell em, taking into accounts Valve’s 15% cut and if you sell your five default drops. You willl get about 1-1,20€ in quick profit.
If you instead decide to level up to lv5. (5x sets of TF2 trading cards). Things are starting to add up.
P.S. Also got a 75% coupon for TW: Shogun 2 (expires soon) and one 33% for Droids
