Fps drop problem

I have amd x2 5400+ 2,81Ghz cpu with 2gb ram and nvidia 9600GT videocard.
And play with single core i have low fps(40) its too low for scout, but with multi core i have good fps but i have in some moments FPS drop, when fps is 60-100 and than 10fps 5sek long drop i think.
Mayby somebody know what problem i have. Some other games i have same problem with that fps drop.

i dont use anything. Def setting with some change by me, cl, sens, binds, but that not nothing special

large fps drops are often caused by overheating cpu or gpu, check your temps :)

After the last patch i get some random fps drops around 2 times in 20 min.

but i think my core temp progrram is wrong, because this progrram 1core cpu i have 90-100temp. ,but 2.cpu i ahve 80. My cpu max temp is 85 i read that in amd webpage, but if if my cpu be 100temp my cpu was dead, but he isnt

If you get lower fps after the last patch, check your graphics settings.
The game seems to like to alter them all by itself now.
It suddenly activated full HDR and high details in my game, which made my fps drop quite a bit in intense combat..
