Why is it invite only? If it was public there would be more people = more games? Or is it private because of the skill level?

If it was public then it would be irc and every mix and over-ambitious new team would want to play.

Personally I only play against three other prem teams so maybe I shouldn’t comment, but as you know from your experience searching for div5 opponents it can be quite tricky, especially with every new and div6 team currently looking for screenshots.

true, true, but the group still should be public…

Or maybe ask on IRC whats the guy’s team before accepting pcw

You can use irc for mixing until you find players for a new team, Kan.

get your facts straight :) i also played div6,5,4 etc but your “system” makes no sense and ill explain why.

1. At that level you will make no progress playing the same 5 teams over and over again.
2. Get opponents via irc if they are bad trash them if they are better get wrecked and learn from that
3. I think its already hard enough to find opponents in irc so why would you want to split that small amount of teams even more
4. div 5 elitist invite only group , so how again are good div 6 teams able to progress? or atleast able to test water?

think about it and dont be offensed by every comment on the internets my lovely yolowarrior

Ps: Top Level TF2 has tf.europe so we dont have to play the same 3 teams over and over again and div1 teams get the chance to test water etc xoxo gossip girl

It’s okay smzi, you don’t understand, so maybe others don’t and I should explain (I often think too fast and skip explanations, it’s a fault). Posting a steam announcement means you can get a game later that day with a well-chosen opponent, rather than with whoever happens to be on irc that moment claiming to be div5. It’s less like irc and more like talking directly to people on your friends list, but without having to go through them one by one. Arranging good matches is one of the most needlessly laborious tasks a team leader faces.

I invited every div5 team plus some good div6 ones, and I’ll add any new team who asks me if they seem appropriate. You improve by playing teams that give you close games, and this group should facilitate that.

.:[aAa]:.

Just use IRC. If you want to play against an “actual” div 5 team just ask them personally…

I don’t understand why you are so sensitive about skill. Yes, you may roll or get rolled every once in a while – big deal. Is it worth splitting the player base over different channels?

Uh
if you want to play div5
Look at div5 tables and just add the leader of the team in the middle?
That’s what I am doing with div4 and fellow teams who won div5
