For those of you that don’t get to keep up with the NA scene, the next ESEA LAN is the weekend of April 20-21. If you’re interested in what the top teams are like here in NA, check out SLIN’s article which analyzes each team in detail. There should be many familiar names from players that were at i46. Also the winner of this LAN will be the team representing NA for i49. i49.tf

“Platinum and B4nny are undoubtedly the two best players in the world”

I think some people might take issue with this.

lamefx

some people should have proved otherwise when they had the chance

You mean when Mike stomped them in MGE over and over again? Players no, teams perhaps.

What are you nerds on about, those two are definitely the best players in the world (there are others you could add to that category but for the purpose of hyping ESEA lan, saying otherwise only serves to satisfy a few bruised egos).

I didnt know MGE was the ultimate litmus test of 6v6 TF2. Why are people even playing 6v6?? Should probably change over from 6v6 to MGE. I hear it really improves your gamesense and team play.

im sorry to say, but best dm does not equal best player

But TF2 is a team game. Being in the best team in the world ≠ the best player in the world.

rimmmm

why is it such a hard concept to understand. mge =/= best individual player in 6v6.

if you could pick a player that could individually make the biggest impact in 6v6 (damage output, damage avoiding, positioning, overall dm,awareness, you get the point) it would be b4nny or platinum, making them the 2 best players in the game.

if you disagree with that and make a case for mike in 6v6 then theres a discussion to be had, but if you just say “mike wins at mge hes the best!” it doesn’t really say much. Especially since I could name a lot of random north american players that no one has ever heard of who have also beat platinum/b4nny at mge.

I don’t think you could claim to be the best player unless you had been in the best team. You could be like Kobe Bryant taking all the heals while your team underwhelms, because you’re basically a selfish asshole.

Didn’t qn play lose a map like 2-1 vs mix^ with Mike on pocket? And wasn’t Mike complemented by Platinum and Pure personally for his pocketing, not his MGE skills? The NA teams were in a league of their own at i46, but a lot of individual european players really stepped up and played well. It’s impossible to say who the best player in the world is, and you can’t give it to Platinum or b4nny (even though they’re _probably_ the best) just because of what their teams did at i46, especially not considering the circumstances.
