Just for the record:

Me, Beta and Byte are on great terms. We haven’t left VanillaTV. We are still very much part of the org, with very little change in anything, including activity. I guess the rumors of tension occurred because of the launch of arxandbeta.com. This is our way of personalising some of the work we do, as well as allowing us to stream and make vods when other casters are commentating on the VanillaTV network.

Rather than think of it as a rival casting organisation, simply think of it as a TF2 stream… a bit like Tviq, or even Byte runs for themselves. The difference is, instead of playing TF2, we will probably be commentating on it most of the time, but not just limited to TF2. It’s our freedom of speech stream where we can do our own stuff with our own standards, at anytime we choose. We are looking to provide commentary from STV demos, or even spontaneous ‘let’s jump into this STV and cast this match’ type nights. It also gives us a nice independent communication platform for people to talk directly to us and give us feedback and advice, rather than going through Vanilla.

The idea came about because I was finding it hard to make a YouTube playlist with all of our casts, because I couldn’t find anything, some vods were not uploaded etc… I just wanted to be able to showcase our work, for vanilla, or independent stuff we’ve done. Also, it’s a bit of fun for us, and keeps us more motivated to cast TF2 for you guys, which ultimately is what the community would want from us before anything else.

But yeah… no tensions, no leavings of VanillaTV. Just had to clear that up :)

Yes, but now you have confirmation from the other side of the story. I could have wrote ‘I support what Byte said’, but when have I ever replied to anything ever with such a short and ‘straight to the point’ answer?
