Hello there,
I want to start playing competitive team fortress 2. I was wondering if there is a mIRC channel where you can get a pickup/mix. I dont have a clan but still i want to play competitive tf2. Im trying hard to get a clan so i can start. but in the meanwhile i want to practice competitive tf2. If hope you guys can help me out, im really want to play ;)

There’s not much knocking around on IRC these days. For quick games the best things are lobbies (which aren’t particularly good, but they might help fill an afternoon gap).
There’s a few Steam groups floating around for newbie mixes and double mixes etc. which i’m sure someone will drop the links in here shortly – if not, have a scout through a few other threads because they’re in there.

only NA has active pickup channels, but they are obviously on NA servers and NA times, but you can check them out: #tf2.pug.na and #tf2mix on gamesurge server
only thing eu has is pickup2 but thats invite for div2+ so yeah…
I could start a non-register join and play pickup channel given a root server, TF2 server and mumble server but I doubt people would play anyhow.

What he said, this group has a couple of higher level mentors and helpers floating around and is probably the best way for you to get involved.
