I was more enthused about the Adult Swim items.
Vaccinator – builds no uber but gives permanent 175% buff
Loose Cannon – Spherical ‘nades that stick to stuff and auto detonate after 5 seconds

tf2 now PvE only, if the past 6 months of updates are anything to go by.
I think the MvM have some similairities with Dota 2. Ie the laning and hero like use of the classes. Control the creeps and you win. I can see a gamemod being developed like Dota 2 only in FPS style: TF3.

The heal gun will give the healing target some form of damage reduction.
