etf2l big cash money prices is introverted rather than extroverted exposure, it doesn’t bring anyone new to the game like DH would
Depends how it’s promoted.
Skyride does have a good point though. The playoffs should’ve had definitive dates well in advance, allowing sufficient time to get the word out (like what happened for i46) and also for sponsors to be approached for donating prizes given out on the stream for example. It’s pretty hard to realise the potential of big matches when nobody knows when they are going to be played except for on the day.

Well the final is happening on thursday, and thats clear for some days now, lets see how long that newspost takes this time.

Pfft, just learn to model items. One successful modeler could sponsor DH once a year. Put all that admin time into modeling instead :p

Aren’t steps 1 and 2 the basic premise of The Ringer?
I think I agree with Skyride, that you can’t draw alot of attention to a game, when it’s scheduled 1 day ahead. If you advertise 1 week in advance on different platforms, hyping big plays, the streams would be more crowded and you would draw much more attention than you are doing now. Making it more interesting and easier for sponsors to jump the bandwagon.
its kinda hard to arrange a playoff match 1 week in advance cuz u have to arrange it in between 7 days before the next playoff match + u need to find a date which fits for 12 players

That’s a poor excuse mate. Are you telling me that nobody knows if they’re going to be available until just a few hours before the game?
Don’t even pull the “real life” bullshit card. When you’re in for a chance of winning 1500 euros I’m sure life can take a backseat just for one night. And anyway you’re kidding yourself on if you think anyone playing TF2 at that level isn’t spending 5 or 6 nights a week sat at their computer anyway.
Manchester United play their fixtures on time.
I’m sure 6 geeks can manage it :D

I can only support this. If people are not ready to take it seriously, why should anyone need to support it in the first place? If there is a prestigious tournament and your dog’s birthday at the same day, you easily can celebrate the latter another day if you really want to.

we are playing less than you would expect. Like i said earlier, the final is arranged for some days now, the maps are picked and there is literally no promotion for these games atm :[ im promoting it like hell in the american scene and i will have a few potencial sponsors watching these finals. I hope we can make it a better event than the last one they saw o/
