I used 43,4 for a long time, now using 34,4 because it’s a lot easier to turn around quickly with it.

Darn

rockit like

Masiina tried my sens some time ago. Said meh and doubled it “now its better”. Think he used to play quakeworld with something crazy like sensitivity 30 :D

edit:
btw, what’s up with the dpi?
is there a reason why a lot of players have quite low dpi?

I don’t want my mouse to freak out in Windows.
And if personal preference is called ‘some voodoo shit’ nowadays, then no wonder there’s so many sens threads on gaming forums.

The ESReality link that Crizzl posted is the correct one. I was mistaken about the graph though.

The graph can be found over here: http://www.quakelive.com/forum/showthread.php?8973-Optimal-Mouse-Settings

The link to the first image is apparently dead, but I had downloaded the chart a long time ago.
Accuracy chart: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19664301/accuracy.png

As to how accel works, there are basically two types of accel in TF2 that “work” properly(for varying definitions of the word work).

If I’m not mistaken, every TF2 implementation of accel is based on FPS for some stupid reason, rather than being done similarly to Quake. When I say based on FPS, it’s not that higher FPS is automatically better, you just need a stable FPS with no more than a 20 framerate change on either end.
The one I’m using(m_customaccel 1) provides one additional feature the other two implementations don’t provide, and that’s a sensitivity cap. So when you try to find out the cm/360 of someone using in-game accel, you need to ask them which implementation they’re using, and if they’re using “m_customaccel 1”, you ask them their sens cap.
What you then have(in terms of data) is the minimum cm/360 from base sensitivity(moving the mouse as slowly as possible) and maximum cm/360 from the sens cap.

So when I say I have a sensitivity of 1 on 800 DPI, with a sens cap of 4.5, the greatest cm/360 I’ll encounter will be 52.2, and least cm/360 I can achieve will be 11.5.

Edit: This is not taking into account situations where your m_customaccel_exponent or m_customaccel_scale is too low to hit the sens cap.

Does Taimou have the smallest sens of all “at least once in prem” medics? IIRC he had like 70cm or so.

In those situations I think he has buttons bound to +left and +right to deal with it
