Hello. A couple of weeks ago I had the idea to record information about mouse settings for all of the top players in European and American TF2. I’m not terribly interesting in imitating the sensitivity of players, but I just remember reading an article about different pros’ settings on ESReality and thinking it was interesting and that someone should try to gather similar information for TF2.
Unfortunately, what with teams being slow to get back to me and being busy myself with other things I never got around to writing an article. However, I’m going to now make public the raw data recorded, so people can check it out themselves and draw any interesting inferences if they wish.

Note: Players change sensitivities and so on all the time. This is meant as more of a snapshot than a definitive answer to “hey cookye what sens do you use”.

To be fair to Darn, traxantic probably has a higher effective cm/360 since he’s only 0.6 cm/360 higher than Darn, but uses accel.

I gave up trying to figure out Trax’s exact sens. Even after several conversations he was unable to explain it to me accurately :p

Ninety centimeters is not a lot really, allows you to make a 180° on a Goliathus Alpha. Seen people playing with lower sensitivity on regular QcKs, true story.

I’m guessing it’s placebo from old Quake players being former IME/WMO users (which maxed at 450/400 dpi).

It’s just some voodoo shit that had a right to exist in times of 56k modems and brick-phones.
