Jegus, Monkey, I’m lacking words to describe my irritation over your inability to remain silent and not stir shit up without a legitimate reason.
Bejesus Frescmoat, I’m lacking words to describe my irritation over your inability to spell my freakin’ name right?
:p
Not my fault I get bored in work and want to chat to some peeps.
fov_desired changes horizontal fov but the game ensures constant vertical fov at different aspec ratios so first we determine our vertical fov at 4:3
verticalFov = 2 * atan( tan( 90/2 ) * 3/4 )
verticalFov =~ 73.74 degresshorizontalFov = 2 * atan( tan( verticalFov/2 ) * aspectRatio )
horizontalFov @ 5:4 =~ 86.3 degrees
horizontalFov @ 4:3 = 90 degrees
horizontalFov @ 16:10 =~ 100.39 degress
horizontalFov @ 16:9 =~ 106.26 degressReal math is even more fun.
Okay, now when we got some real math in here, let’s make a serious discussion. Everyone should be forced to play with 5:4 aspect ratio, otherwise you gain unfair advantage with your fancy 16:9 monitor. Y/N? rofl
This is just silly

If TF2 locked sensitivity to under 25 cm/360 I would also beat that dead horse. The fact that it has to be repeated doesn’t change it.

that definitely looks locked
I’ve played at “120 fov” for a while using vertical squashing, it’s not all that pleasant. you can’t see anything above you.
While we’re talking about this kinda thing, is this allowed?

Isn’t this just a really misplaced HUD crosshair? Could be one :)
i thought the fov applied to 4:3 resolutions? or am i wrong?
and 90 fov on a 16:9 was like 110 or something i have no idea what im talking about
