“Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:
Team Fortress 2
You can now duck twice in the air. Scout double jumps reset the in-air jump counts
Increased the jump velocity to account for the tuned bounding box sizes. Jump height should now match the prior-to-last-update heights
Added “tf_clamp_airducks” convar, set to 1 by default
Setting it to 0 will remove all constraints on ducking while in the air. Useful for servers running RJ challenge maps”

Nice, haven’t tested it yet though.
Too bad they didn’t remove the jump constraints completely for the soldier however.
It is nice that you can turn it off by a command to do jump maps, but the point in jump maps as I see it is to practice for real matches. If the rocket jumps mechanics is different, then the point of training there is lost. It is like training RJ in a low gravity server.
Maybe we should use the command to remove the RJ constraints in all ETF2L matches ?
No. This fix was requested by competitive players, to stop the crouch spam to manipulates hitbox. This is forbidden in every TF2 leagues.
After testing, you can now get on the trains on cp_badlands, but there still seem to be some issues with crouching, for example on dustbowl stage 2 cp1, you can no longer go through the window, like your model is too big or you didn’t crouch.

the cvar does not help at all on rocket jump maps. try it you´ll see what i mean. pogo jump is nerfed, wall jump is nerfed the rocket jump itself is nerfed when it comes to harder jumps. i can’t mention one of the harder jump-maps who´s even remotely possible now. Really hope valve fixes this soon.
Yes, I also notice that some harder jumps are much harder or even impossible now.
It is better than before the 5:th of Mars update, but still not good enough.
I still couldn’t get on top of spire from the small ammopack on badlands. However, it was not very far off and it might be just me jumping like crap today.
The crouch jumping seems to be fixed at least.
After some testing I noticed some jumps are impossible, like on B on gravelpit, on the small platform with health.
Some jumps are kind of hard now, but rj and sj isn’t that broken imo.
