Be raped by scouts/not to be raped by scouts?

Is that even a question? If you have at least half decent aim/soldiers – crossbow without doubt, it will save your teammates more often than needles might save you from a scout. I use it a lot on rollouts as well.

edit: That being said, needles are probably more useful the further down the divisions you go. Scouts at a higher level will rape you anyway.

Needles if you want to be able to defend yourself properly, crossbow if you can aim well enough to make longrange healing viable.

As it has already been said: Take needels only if you have 2 Roamers and a suicide demoman. The crossbow is so strong in so many different situations.

Imagine Gullywash Last, fast arrow at someone on the right side instead of making him leave his position. Or Badlands Mid, that Roamer of ours who could die any second but is out of range. Won’t even talk about Spire…

As a medic your damage output is ridiculous anyway. So why not completely focus on what you’re here for? Healing!

It’s fun to do 70-80 damage to someone from long range. Or sometimes heal your teammate 150 hp.
