Insane Dutch Killers MGE Server, No Stats

Hey all, I couldn’t find the old post so I thought I will just make a new one.
The server is back up for good now. We had internal trouble keeping on top of things at IDK, but I seem to be ok with time and will be able to keep an eye on things like broken MGE Server.
It is now updated to the latest available version, running v7 of the map (fast download available).
– 20 Slot
– NL
– Stats disabled (there was a discussion about it and we decided that it will be best – it will help people focus on getting better, not finding another gay camping spot to earn dem points)
– mge_training_v7 (with fast dl)
– 3 hour long map rotation
Any questions/ problems let me know.

There is plenty of other servers you can play on.
No, there aren’t any class limits. I thought enforcing vanilla was just about good enough.

tbh there aren’t. I hate the lethal zone server and that is the only one with points that people go to. It would be good to have a nice alternative.

Go to LZ MGE, add good people, enjoy playing on no-points-servers. I’d prefer a ‘private’ MGE session over some public session with randoms interfering any day.

What about NervousEnergy MGE? As far as I know (correct me if I am wrong) that is THE mge server still and was for a long time.
I thought a nice alternative is to have a server that is different, not having another copy of the same thing over and over. IDK server is an alternative in 3 ways:
– fall dmg enabled
– no stats
– v7 of the map
If that is not alternative, then I don’t know what is. I appreciate your feedback, but the bottom line is that this server is meant to be unique in such way. It is not “lame”, it is just a feature which differs us from other mge server providers. Consider it as a place where you can warm up with a friend without some random player interrupting. At the same time, think of it as a place where you will not know what to except of your enemy and will always do your best.
@Ash Not a bad ideia, but takes to much work.
@Biohazard NE server is always empty. LZ one, unfortunately, is THE mge server.
And imo no stats isn’t an unique alternative. Right now, there are more than enough mge servers, with stats and withouth them.

MGE points =/= skill
i’ve played against plenty of people that when they start losing or are just about to lose, join spectate so they dont lose any points.
the points are literally just a bunch of numbers to give an even more competitive side to MGE, however because of the points implemented, people adapt really frustrating and “scumbag”-ey playstyles, such as groundspamming when people just spawn, and using the shotgun when someone rocket jumps so they just stop dead in their tracks whilst jumping.
having no stats or points means that you can’t judge someone based on how many points they have;

Ok, no one denies that some care to much about the points, but overall MGE points == skill.
If i wanna play someone stronger, i won’t play a guy with 1700, but instead someone with +2000.
And the thing is there are better players on server with stats. It may not be perfect, but overall i think points are better.
