Good FPS Config?

Hey all, having abit trouble with my FPS lately (all settings high, dual monitor, irc and webbrowser up and constantly in windowedmode – so I see where the problem is ).
Mostly it travels between 60-250. Would rather have it stable at 60 so I won’t feel the difference. But yesterday I have had alot of spikes where I have been down to 10-40 fps.
Any good fps config, that give me the most a clean game but no dx 8?
PS: I would love shiny ubers.
AMD X2 6400+ 3,2 stock clock
8800gtx
2gb RAM
If I can get 150+ stable fps from it (without dxlvl 8, I’m not that desperate), I might actually use it :D

gave me about +40 fps,
no shiny ubers though, its due to the mat_dxlevel 81
The thing I don’t like about more’s config is that the models look kind of weird, like the textures have gone white or sth, kinda hard to explain… And there’s no gore :)
Haven’t found out how to get those things back, any hints?

no its due to mat_specular 0. Change it to 1 and they shine again (not as shiny as with dx 95 but at least they glow).
ino, i dont have anyting like that in my game :p
and about mat_specular 1 it works on ubers for making them shiny but it fucks intels to make em all black… if someone has solution for that then it might work :p :] !=)
Is there a way to reduce the amount of effects from kritzkrieg/first blood in first person? I have no problems with the regular ubercharge, but with kritz my fps drops down to 15-20. :/
nice the config from more looks neat, gonna check it out cuz I can use an fps boost as well :p
I’ve made my own kinda modification of m0res config, its just about half of the commands to be honest but it does the job for me… Its on dx95 aswell so its alot nicer looking but ive got the lighting turned down etc on it and to be honest i like how it looks like this :>

Hope some people find this helpful if you have a good PC but want a better FPS ( I always get 100 with this config )
