As much as I like the idea – it’s going to catch a lot of cheaters out.

But just the simple fact that there was no agreement, which makes me (among many others) rather suspicious of the intentions. You’re claiming it’s only for TF2, and will only work that way, but how could we know for certain?

I’ve noticed that it’s also taking screenshots of in game chat, and console messages. So if there’s any confidential information – such as passwords (server, rcon or any others) then chances are, you can find them fairly simply.

It’s simply impossible to do stuff outside of the game, you’ll have to believe me on this. It *should* work on CSS & DoD S as well.

Well, that’s the same issue with any anti-cheat that take screenshots. If you were unlucky, Aequitas could show screenshots with the rcon password as well. You can still set it in your autoexec.cfg so you won’t ever have to type it.

For the kids who arn’t that clever to figure it out.
– This plugin can only do things within TF2
– Anakin is not some french wizard who now has all of your credit card details
– Anakin is not currently masterbating to screenshots of you jerking it to porn on your second monitor
– Taking random screenshots of your game is hardly INVASION OF PRIVACY!!!11OMG.
– Punkbuster and other anti cheats use screenshots to find cheaters. Randomly taking a picture of your screen and sending it to a central location is nothing new.

The only thing i’d worry about is people faking cheater screenshots as you can’t check it against the original s/s like you could in PB.

Yes Anakin could have communicated a lot better to the server admins, but as soon as a few dribblers are banned its all good.

cheater or not, Tarkus is still like the only one that took MIKE 1v1 in MGE in pure dm :D

I am chill. I’m just saying, this is the wrong attitude to take. And me living in Britain doesn’t mean I approve of the amount of CCTV cameras here (in fact, that’s the reason why so many British people like me think that this attitude is bad).

Also, imo plugin should be made obligatory for official etf2l matches.
Too bad, that update wasnt announced beforehand, and Anakin published those screenshots here, not contacted AC team directly.
