oh Crasp, that is genius. That entire episode is just such a hilariously and saddeningly accurate depiction of comp tf2 community over the last 4 years. Can’t believe I’ve never thought of it before.

Quite a few of these spuffers have the right idea, tf2 is horribly suited to being a competitive game. You have to remember though that spuf aren’t really the kind of people that will ever try or commit to comp tf2, the reason he’s giving (tf2 is boring) isn’t the reason that tf2 isn’t big, maybe one of the reasons is that the transition from pub to comp is just too unnatural or severe. You don’t hear someone who enjoys Starcraft whining about how they dislike comp Starcraft, because it is just a natural progression from playing Starcraft in the first place. I don’t have any hope for tf2 as a legitimate esport, but maybe valve could properly integrate comp support into tf3, or maybe an in game version of vanilla tf2lobby with a level able hat. Or maybe hell will freeze, feels like this is all we talk about.

I’ve been wondering if ETF2L should make posting not possible at 4-6 CET. The bots always post during this time.

I don’t like 6v6 competitively play because idiots like CrashSite are dumb enough to take the bait from some randomer on SPUF who says “crits = skill” and post it on ETF2L when nobody actually cares.

Competitive players are seen as arrogant and elitist already. These bitter, poorly written and horribly researched threads on SPUF can only make things worse.
And if you do have to continue this then ad-least follow some of the better examples.
