Ok, so maybe featured was an exaggeration.

Make sure you click the + sign on the first photo to read the full article (READ IT, PRO TIPS!)

Sick pro tips right there.

(+my super-duper-advanced tip about sandvich throwing no longer works)

Props to Sabasaba from Colony, who was also featured in the magazine (but Swifty cut him out like a heartless monster)

Are you referring to me here? After what you said in mumble… :'( Still crying at nights about it.

WE AKSED TF2 PROFESIONUL COMEPTATIVE PLAYR

Classes interviewed: Heavy, Engie, Spy

xD

Also the tactic to be a pro heavy apparently is to create a topic on ETF2L begging for the sandvich to be added to the ruleset ;)

I’d have no problem with it now btw, as it has been “fixed”, and the “protips” by ALX are already incorrect upon release of this magazine (dropped sandvich doesn’t replenish heavy’s health).

On a less cynical note, it’s cool to see TF2 still featured in a magazine. Too bad that the talk about the “pros” has nothing to do with the highest levels of 6v6.

Ashkan asked a few people to mail a guy at PCGamer who had asked him for tips for each class. Most of my suggestions were config-related, like turning off viewmodels etc, but I think they might’ve found it too advanced for their readers. I thought they were going to do some article on the site, but then Swifty spotted it in the mag today.

@skeej, I sent the mail two weeks before the nerf or so. Not my fault they included that tip, there were plenty more to pick from which they left out. I know you hate me anyway for some reason. Cool down.

TBH, the nerf on the sandvich is balanced enough to make it allowed in 6v6 again imo. And sandvich or no sandvich, ALX is still genuinely the best 6v6 heavy around. Equivalent to Riemu and pace, easily.
