Hell peeps,

I am hereby asking you if the format of the last Excello Cup is worth repeating or if you have any suggestions to make it better.

Last time we had one open cup with a maximum of 32 teams and an invitational cup with a maximum of 8 teams.
The winner of the open cup won a spot in the invitational cup.
The winner of the invite cup won a prize.

I know that some things were a bit… unfortunate. Both teams from the finals of the open cup could not play in the invite cup and we had to look for last minute replacements. Also, it was unclear if some invited teams wanted to participate or not. Hopefully this will go better for the next cup.
Another thing that bothered me a bit was that only 25 teams checked in for the open cup but well… Might just have been the summer…

This is what we are probably going to do:
– (in case we keep the current format with open/invite) players have to chose whether they wish to play in the open or in the invite cup. You can not play in both cups for different teams.

This is what we are unlikely to do:
– Break it down to only an invite cup with 8 teams. We want as many teams as possible to participate.
– Prizes for the open cup / lower teams: I will do my best to organise prizes for the open cup or for lower teams but it is rather unlikely at the moment. Also, I have no power to decide this anyway :)

Now please tell me what you think about the current open/invite format and how we could improve it.

We need to get more used to playing cups next to the long drawn seasons, where you only meet your opponent once in the season…

Keep up the good work i would say!
