I’d still rather have fov_desired changed than just the weapon fov :/

Yeah but wlv, valve are unlikely to deviate from all the other source games by making fov_desired higher, since that could possibly give an ungodly advantage to some classes and not to others, where viewmodel_fov just looks sexy and makes the game feel better (imo).
