PLDX tool doesn't work properly

So I’ve wanted to capture some sniper footage, but then I came across a problem.
I don’t want it to have a crosshair, but when I choose “disable crosshair” ingame there’s still a white cross and when I choose “default crosshair without sniper rifle” there is a black square at the size of the default crosshair.
Does anyone else get this problem? Most tf2 movies have crosshairs disabled, so there gotta be a way around this, or am I the only one experiencing this problem? If you had this bug too, and know how to fix it, please reply.
Anyway, thanks for your time.
Use the default crosshair and when you’re ingame type this in the console: cl_crosshair_scale 0
I tried this, but it didn’t work.
choose any custom crosshair , try again cl_crosshair_scale 0
and try crosshair 0 also
…
I tried all of this, but the tool makes you somehow unable to change settings through console input.
So I had the same Problem too and one way around it is to disable the HUD entirely.
You have to open the console in PLDX and navigate through it by pressing f1,f2 and f3.
But if you have the HUD disabled you also dont have the killfeed in the top right corner and Sniper Footage looks like mine in this Movie at 1:35 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzVpYm1ViKk.
So basicly you dont see the Scope around the dot it is only the dot.

Do you have the option “disable crosshair switching in demos” activated? If yes, remove the tick.
Yeah, disabling the entire hud was also an idea I’ve had, but I’d rather have a crosshair and the killnotifications instead of neither.
I just checked with unticking this box, but then I just get the crosshair I had while playing, regardless of the settings in the tool. This might be because of my binds which change the crosshair according to the wielded weapon.
But thanks for the replies anyway.
But now type cl_crosshair_scale 0 in console that works when you have crosshair switching enabled.
But if you change weapons you have to type it again thats the problem…
Oh thanks, now I get the point
Is still kind of a lot work to do, couldn’t you somehow change the config?

You have any custom crosshairs enabled on pldx?
When writing crosshair 0, It doesnt delete it. I believe.
Setting it to the default crosshair, that will work.
I’m getting this error when trying to open tf2 with the pldx tool:

It worked fine a couple days ago, don’t know what changed =/
Anybody got an idea why and how I can fix it? would really be appreciated.
Quoted from Salmon
delete the play folder in your team fortress folder.
Oh, that did the job, thanks!
One last thing, is it really necessary for the tool to move the addons folder? I had some problems with pldx not long ago and ended up not having prec on my last league match and didn’t realize :«
