Me and many fellow Egyptians get our share of “high ping bb” many times during mixes/pcws etc., even though some of us ping around 70-80 but its not the same across the country.
High ping in TF2 is either one of 2 things. Poor upload/download speeds that’ll make you suffer a huge loss/choke and it’ll make you warp, other players will also be affected by this warp and you’ll be hard to hit (Warp can also be made by some hack to be hard to hit while you won’t really warp irl). Or, distance ping. As long as your distance ping is not accompanied with the 1st case, then the high pinger is the only one affected by this. You’ll not be affected by a high pinger due to distance, why?

In more modern multiplayer online video games implementations, the server keeps track of where the user’s avatar is, so having a high latency will usually be to the user’s peril.

That’s how TF2 works, also don’t say “do you know what etf2l stands for?”, because playing is about fun or challenging your skills, as long as the outer continents countries offer you each, thats a good addition over the community. :)

Just because you look at your scoreboard and find some guy with 200 ping doesn’t mean that he’s warping and he’s some kind of superman that doesn’t take any damage.

I know this.

ppl with 200 ping appear to kill u after u go behind wall

since ppl dont understand how source networking works, this makes them rage

or it simply is reason for rage, even if they know how it works

so stop implying that this has no effect to how we play

You actually get killed [ninjaedit:]out in the open, but by the time the killers pc sends the server the hit log and it registers you are behind the wall, so its not any kind of advantage for the high pinger or vice versa.

But on what basis :P? Its all disadvantages to them and as said, if they offered you fun or challenging skills which all tf2 players seek then why not.
